The Importance of Proper Niche Keyword Research lies within the eyes of the beholder. There is more to keyword research then just plugging some keywords in your site that you think will perform well for your business. I have provided a few tips when doing keyword research for you business. I'm going to give you a few tips for good search engine placement keyword research. There are several factors involved in achieving good search engine results and here I will just give you some tips on keyword research. Type the main word or phrase into Google search. For example let say you have a Home Theater sales and installation business so search out Home Theater and you get 54 million results for that keyword. Ok now lets say your website or business is located in Orlando Florida. Search out in Google Home Theater Orlando Florida. Now you will only see about 500,000 results. The results are a great way to give you an idea of keywords you can target with success. A keyword phrase that has millions of results compared to 500,000 results with proper SEO will be easier to achieve top search engine rankings. The other thing you can do to get an idea of what other keywords your competitors are targeting is by looking at the top 5 resulting websites and view there source. Have a look at what meta keyword tags they are targeting. Out of the top five you can pick and choose about 20 keywords that are best for your business, I recommend you just get ideas from these sites and come up more unique keywords to target that are specific to your business. However because these top 5 sites are ranking well for one keyword the keywords the top 5 sites may not be properly suited for your business. What you really need to do is think outside the box and think what people will be searching for in order to find your business.I highly recommend checking out the Google Keyword Suggestion Tool. This is just a few tips for helping you better get the idea of what you need to do for proper keyword research. I hope this has helped you out in someway.... |
